COMPOSITIONAL ELEMENTS IN PHOTOGRAPHY: For the first assignment of the semester, we were introduced to various compositional elements that go into taking a very good photograph. However, without purpose, a photo is just a pretty picture. I went to a beautiful golden-domed masjid in Markham to take photos. I was forced to find the right settings for the photos, using the technical trio we learned of in class: ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. In these photos, you can see examples of leading lines, invisible and visible shapes, balance, framing, patterns, reflection and depth. Mostly I used leading lines, patterns, and perspective shots.
